Historical Background of the Providence International Elementary and High School
Taking cognizance of the ever-increasing need for the provision of quality education at affordable fees in Sierra Leone, the proprietor, Mr. Joseph S. Bangura and well-wishers of the above-named school galvanized their resources together to establish a co-educational private institution to provide tuition for Nursery, Primary, JSS and SSS pupils in a conscious effort to complement the Sierra Leone Government's and other education stakeholders' effort in providing educational facilities in the country.
The Providence International Elementary and High School's Foundation stone was laid on 8th February 2007, and officially established as a school for Nursery, Primary, JSS and SSS pupils, recognized and permitted to operate by the Ministry of Education Science and Technology in September 2007.
5,000 pupils attend the school.
